Seedat: We Put In The Hard Work

Cape Town City defender Ebrahim Seedat was disappointed to see their hard work go unrewarded in the MTN8 final.

The Citizens missed out on claiming their first MTN8 title after losing 4-2 on penalties to SuperSport United on Saturday evening.

Seedat, who was named Man of the Match, could not his disappointment after the match.

"What can I say, we lost. Anyone could win on penalties but we put in the hard work. Well done to SuperSport," an emotional Seedat told SuperSport after the game.

"We had fun, he (Benni McCarthy) always tells us to have fun and enjoy our game. At the end of the day the results matters and unfortunately we did not win the game."

When asked about the City fans in attendance, he added, "Thanks for supporting, there's still more to come, we have to focus on the league now."
