Goals from George Maluleka, Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Katlego Mphela handed Amakhosi a 3-0 win on the day and umped Dikwena out of the competition 5-0 on aggregate over the two leg semifinal.
Freese said his game plan was not to let Chiefs score early on, but their plan failed after the Maluleka opened scoring in the 29th minute.
"We came here not to concede early or first, but that didn't happen," said Freese.
"Our game plan was to put them under pressure and to try to score early which didn't happen.
"When they scored everything went from bad to worse.
"Chiefs did well, they played a very good game, it was always going to be a challenge.
"Well done to Chiefs."
The two teams will lock horns again in a league match on Wednesday in Rustenburg and Freese said they will reassess ahead of the encounter.
"It is difficult because we have to play them again, but we will sit down, look at it and plan for there," added Freese.
