Letsholonyane controlled the midfield battle and scored the game's second goal after turning home a Tsepo Masilela cross.
Following the game the Amakhosi midfielder put their good performance down to the hard work they are putting in at training.
"Thank you to my teammates and the man upstairs, God, and my family for the support," said Letsholonyane.
"It was a team effort and we put into play what we practised.
"We knew it was not going to be easy unless we do it ourselves."
Letsholonyane admit that his team are excited to play Orlando Pirates in the final of the MTN8 competition on September 20, but first they will focus on their league games.
"We obviously want to win the MTN8 Cup, but before then we have league games we need to focus on," added Letsholonyane.
"We will concentrate on the final when the day comes."
Chiefs are next in action Wednesday in a league match against Platinum Stars.
