Goals from George Maluleka, Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Katlego Mphela handed the Amakhosi a 3-0 win at FNB stadium and 5-0 aggregate win over the two leg semifinal.
"The players got down to business," said Baxter.
"I think we should have been two or three nil up in the first 15 minutes, but we didn't take those chances.
"When we got the goal I think it was difficult for them mentally and we got more and more chances on the transition because they threw caution to the wind."
Baxter also singled out Katlego Mphela for special praise after he scored his side's third goal.
"Killer is the fox in the box," added Baxter. "If we get him in the right areas he will put it in the back of the net."
Looking ahead to the final against Orlando Pirates on September 20, Baxter says he is expecting a fantastic outing.
"The final will be a great occasion," said the Amakhosi coach.
"We have looked at the derbies we have had before and this one will be tremendous because it is a cup final and it will have some extra spice."
