The 25-year-old scored a brace in Chiefs' 2-0 win over Platinum Stars in the MTN8 semi-final last weekend, continuing the good form that he has shown throughout the course of the season so far.
Now, following five impressive performances, there are those asking whether he should feature in Shakes Mashaba's first Bafana Bafana squad when it is announced on Friday.
However, the midfield man is not worried about his Bafana future, but admits that it is something that he always hopes for.
He told the media, "To be honest, I don't know what to expect. I worked with Coach Shakes at U23 level and everything went very well, and if I can keep my performances as they are now or even better, than maybe I stand a chance of getting a call up.
"I don't think there are any players that don't love playing for the national team and representing their country, it'd be an honour."
Also, when asked whether playing for Chiefs would help his chances, he responded by saying, "I don't think it's about who you play for, it's about how you play. I was in the national team when I was at Ajax and also at SuperSport. I'm here now and I'm still waiting for my call-up, I think I've been doing well, but I want to do better. Earning a call-up would show me where I stand with my game."
