After suffering heartbreak in last season's MTN8 final on penalties to Cape Town City, SuperSport reigned supreme this year after defeating Highlands Park 1-0 on Saturday night.
While Grobler netted the winner on the night, Gabuza also received his plaudits after being named Man of the Match.
The former Orlando Pirates striker had a big role to play in SuperSport's MTN8 success after registering three goals and two assists in five MTN8 matches this season.
The triumph was SuperSport's third in the top eight tournament, having previously won the tournament in 2017 and 2004 (SAA Super Eight Cup).
SuperSport join Mamelodi Sundowns, Bidvest Wits and Moroka Swallows with three top eight titles, although they still sit far behind Orlando Pirates (nine) and Kaizer Chiefs (15).
