Jomo Cosmos have officially been relegated to the ABC Motsepe League with two games left to spare in the GladAfrica Championship.
Sono's men needed to avoid a draw or a loss to keep their slim survival hopes alive, but that was not be the case against TS Sporting on Saturday.
Frédéric Nsabiyumva did put Cosmos ahead in the first half, but they were pegged back just before the break when Sporting levelled matters through Mohau Mokate just before the break.
Unfortunately for Ezenkosi, 1-1 was how the encounter ended at the Tsakani Stadium as the point was not enough to save their second-tier status and will now be playing football in the ABC Motsepe League from next season.
Cosmos were relegated from the DStv Premiership (Absa Premiership) in 2016 and have not to returned to the top-flight since.
