Uthongathi 1-1 Polokwane City
Polokwane City missed the chance to go three points clear at the top of the standings after they were held to a goalless draw by Uthongathi on Sunday afternoon at Princess Magogo Stadium.
Polokwane broke the deadlock on the half-hour mark but they were pegged back, as Thato Mohlamme levelled matters for the Cane Cutters just after the interval.
Rise and Shine went up just a point clear at the top of the log while Uthongathi moved slightly up to eighth.
Magesi 2-0 La Masia
Magesi resumed their league campaign on a winning note after beating ten-man La Masia 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Vuyisile Wana gave Magesi an early lead and La Masia were reduced to ten men just before the half-hour mark after Liam De Kock was red-carded.
Wana eventually sealed the three points for Dikwena and completed his brace with five minutes to go.
Magesi climbed up to seventh on the table with 19 points while La Masia dropped down to 13th.

Black Leopards 1-1 Venda Football Academy
Black Leopards and Venda Football Academy got back to league action with a point apiece in the Limpopo derby after a 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon at Thohoyandou Stadium.
Neither side could find the back of the net in the first stanza and it took until the last 16 minutes for Kenneth Nthatheni to break the deadlock for Lidoda Duvha.
However, VFA responded immediately as Rhulani Manzini snatched the equaliser.
Leopards remained in 14th spot on the table with 11 points, just above 15th-placed Venda on goal difference.
All Stars 2-0 Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila
All Stars maintained their perfect start since the restart after beating Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Bidvest Stadium.
Neo Mphuthi broke the deadlock for All Stars 11 minutes before the interval and Sabelo Nyembe secured the three points ten minutes before time.
All Stars climbed up to third on the table, five points behind leaders Polokwane City while TTM were left lying in tenth spot.
Casric Stars 2-1 Platinum City Rovers
Casric Stars consolidated their second spot on the table as they re-opened their league season with a 2-1 win over Platinum City Rovers on Saturday afternoon at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium.
Kgomotso Mosadi broke the deadlock for Stars on the stroke of half-time but City Rovers found the equaliser just after the interval.
However, Mosadi restored the lead for the hosts and completed his brace a couple of minutes later.
Casric are just a point behind table-toppers Polokwane City while City Rovers fell down to 12th on the log.
University of Pretoria 1-3 Baroka
Baroka won their first game of the new year after drubbing University of Pretoria 3-1 courtesy of a brace by Ntiyiso Bombi on Saturday afternoon at ABSA Tuks Stadium.
Ayanda Mvambi gave AmaTuks an early lead but Bakgaga rallied from behind, as Santino Smith levelled matters just after the interval.
Bombi gave the Limpopo side the lead just after the hour-mark, sealed the three points and completed his brace with eight minutes to go.
Bakgaga jumped up to 11th on the log while AmaTuks fell down ninth.

JDR Stars 1-0 Pretoria Callies
JDR Stars bounced back to winning ways after edging Pretoria Callies 1-0 in the Tshwane derby on Friday afternoon at Giant Stadium.
Ishmael Wadi broke the deadlock for JDR on the stroke of half-time and that proved to be the winner.
The Hammer Boyz moved up to fifth on the standings with 21 points while the Romans were left rooted at the bottom of the table.
Cape Town Spurs 1-0 Hungry Lions
Cape Town Spurs had a perfect re-start of their league campaign after a last-gasp 1-0 win over Hungry Lions on Friday afternoon at Athlone Stadium.
After a goalless first stanza, Ashley Cupido snatched the winner for Spurs with five minutes to go.
Spurs climbed up to sixth on the table, with a game in hand while Lions dropped down to fourth.
