Platinum City Rovers 0-1 Venda Football Academy
Venda Football Academy jumped off the foot of the Motsepe Foundation Championship standings with a narrow 1-0 win over Platinum City Rovers on Sunday.
As the match headed for a goalless draw, the visitors came up with the goods when well-travelled forward Rhulani Manzini fired the winner late on to go level on points with Rovers.
Cape Town Spurs 1-0 Magesi FC
Cape Town Spurs got back to winning ways following their midweek defeat and scraped past Magesi FC 1-0 at the Athlone Stadium to edge closer to the top-three.
Neither side managed to find an opening in the first half, though the host were fired up after the break and netted the winner courtesy of Jarrod Moroole.
Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC 0-5 JDR Stars
JDR Stars leapfrogged All Stars FC in third spot with a comprehensive 5-0 victory over Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC in Thohoyandou.
Danger-man Ishmael Wadi broke the deadlock in the first half before Lemohang Maseko doubled their advantage for a two-goal lead at the interval.
The visitors ran riot in the second half as Wadi completed his brace, while veteran striker Prince Nxumalo and Tumi Ngwepe got their name on the score-sheet.

Baroka FC 3-1 Polokwane City
Polokwane City failed to extend their lead at the top of the Motsepe Foundation Championship table following a 3-1 loss to Baroka FC at the Global Stadium on Saturday.
An unusual figure in goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke broke the deadlock and put Bakgaga Ba Ga Mphahlele ahead at the end of the first half.
City drew level through Khomotjo Lekoloane though Sekela Sithole brought the host back ahead before Ananias Gebhardt settled the contest and see Bakgaga tenth on the log.
NB La Masia 1-2 All Stars FC
All Stars FC maintained sight of third-spot through a 2-1 win over NB La Masia at the Wits Football Stadium in Braamfontein.
A double from Sabelo Nyembe steered Stars to maximum points with both efforts from the penalty-spot, whilst Fuad Johnson gave La Masia a consolation.
Nyembe was also given his marching orders following a second bookable offence, as the loss see La Masia drop down the bottom-three and into a relegation tussle.
Hungry Lions FC 0-0 Casric Stars
Second-place Casric Stars went level on points with Polokwane City following a goalless draw against Hungry Lions FC in Kimberley.
Stars, who overcame Cape Town Spurs in midweek, could've gone to the top of the table after City's loss to Baroka FC on the same day.
As for Lions, they as well missed a huge chance to close-in on the pace-setters having edged NB La Masia during the course of the week.
University of Pretoria 0-3 Pretoria Callies
University of Pretoria slumped to a disappointing 3-0 defeat against Pretoria Callies in the Tshwane derby and dropped further away from the top-three.
Former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates striker Siphelele Mthembu broke the deadlock for Callies, who added a second before the break through Oswin Appollis.
Sinoxolo Kwayiba netted the third with a spot-kick and opened his account for the Romans too, with AmaTuks still ninth on the log and Callies off the foot of the table.
Black Leopards 1-2 Uthongathi FC
Black Leopards struggling run of form this season and are now in the bottom-two spots after going down 2-1 to Uthongathi FC.
The Cane Cutters made the opening through Tshepo Liphoko before substitute Bokang Mokwena doubled their tally amidst Lidoda Duvha's consolation.
With Lidoda Duvha in the quagmire and having won just two matches so far, the Cane Cutters moved closer to the top-three from mid-table through this victory.
