Cape Town All Stars 2-1 Polokwane City
Cape Town All Stars kept their title hopes in the GladAfrica Championship alive with a 2-1 win over Polokwane City, who finished the match with ten players on Tuesday.
With the first half finishing goalless, Rise and Shine were reduced to ten players after the break as Thabang Matuludi walked the plank for a strong and dangerous challenge.
Rise and Shine still went ahead through a solid finish from Simon Ramabu, but Lesvin Stoffels and then a late effort from Sabelo Nyeme rescued Stars from the cusp of defeat.
Free State Stars 2-0 Jomo Cosmos
Free State Stars tenure without coach Innocent Mayoyo began positively following a 2-0 victory against the second-bottom Jomo Cosmos.
The host returned to winning ways after going five matches without success, while it is back-to-back defeats for Ezenkosi.
Venda Football Academy 1-1 Cape Town Spurs
Venda Football Academy weren't able to strengthen their grip on fourth place as they played to a 1-1 draw against Cape Town Spurs in Thohoyandou.
Spurs targeted back-to-back wins after overcoming Pretoria Callies two weeks ago and it looked a reality when Chumani Butsaka had them ahead at halftime.
However, Venda staged a comeback in the second half and forced the clash to finish on an equal footing with Kgothatso Mariba finding the crucial effort.
TS Sporting 1-2 Black Leopards
Black Leopards continued to climb further up the table and away from the dreaded bottom-two positions following a 2-1 victory over TS Sporting.
It is a third consecutive victory for Lidoda Duvha too, while Abantu Bemtheto dropped to the bottom of the table weeks after sacking coach Benson Mhlongo.

University of Pretoria 1-0 Richards Bay FC
University of Pretoria leapfrogged Richards Bay FC into top spot on the GladAfrica Championship table after securing 1-0 in a top-of-the-table clash on Wednesday.
AmaTuks and the Natal Rich Boyz were at each other's throats from the get go before late substitute Kamohelo Pheeane came good for the host right at the death.
Platinum City Rovers 2-2 Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC
Fresh from their Nedbank Cup heroics, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC battled from two goals down to hold Platinum City Rovers to a 2-2 draw.
With former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Oupa Manyisa on target for the host, Vhadau vhadamani rallied back and shared the spoils in the end.
Hungry Lions FC 0-0 Pretoria Callies
Hungry Lions FC remained mid-table after playing to a goalless draw against the struggling Pretoria Callies in the Northern Cape province.
Lions lost their last match on the road to Uthongathi FC as did Callies when they went down to Shaun Bartlett's Cape Town Spurs.
