Former SuperSport United defender Thabo Moloi has confirmed to the Siya crew that he has been released by GladAfrica Championship Pretoria Callies, with the issue of the payout of his contract up in the air.
Moloi started 12 matches for the club this season, but last week was told that he will no longer be part of the team going forward.
According to the player, there were 18 months left on his contract with Callies and he is not sure at this stage what's going to happen with his payout.
Moloi, who has also been on the books of University of Pretoria, is a free agent and is hoping to find a new club in the near future.
"I don't know (what happened). I was just sent a termination agreement on Saturday night. I'm at home right now," the defender from the Vaal told the Siya crew.
Callies have had a difficult campaign in the GladAfrica Championship, as they currently sit in 13th place on 16 points after 17 matches. They are just three points ahead of bottom of the table side Jomo Cosmos with 13 matches left to play in the season.
The club parted ways with head coach Joel Masutha during the first half of the campaign and Edwin Sitayitayi was roped in as the caretaker coach.
