Just a couple weeks after their MTN8 final heartbreak, Highlands Park begin their Telkom Knockout journey with a clash at home to Black Leopards this afternoon.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 18h00.
The Lions of the North reached their first MTN8 final last month, but succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of SuperSport United at Orlando Stadium.
Before the loss to SuperSport, Owen da Gama's had not tasted defeat in all competitions since the opening day loss to Kaizer Chiefs back in August.
Leopards, meanwhile, suffered defeat in Luc Eymael's first game in charge after going down 2-1 to Mamelodi Sundowns before the FIFA break.
The men from Limpopo were sent packing by Kaizer Chiefs on penalties in the first round last year, while Highlands were eliminated by Maritzburg at the same stage.
