Teams: Golden Arrows v Polokwane City
Date: 19 October 2019
Venue: Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium
Golden Arrows will look to put their poor league form aside when they host Polokwane City in the first round of the Telkom Knockout on Saturday afternoon.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 15h00.
Steve Komphela's men currently find themselves winless in their last five league encounters, with the last clash ending in a 2-0 loss to Kaizer Chiefs.
Arrows will be hoping to improve on last season's showing in the League Cup as they were knocked out by Baroka FC in the first round.
Polokwane, meanwhile, will be hoping to embark on another cup run after reaching the semi-finals of the MTN8 last month, before they were dumped out on penalties by Highlands Park.
Since the defeat to Highlands, Rise and Shine defeated SuperSport United 3-1 before they went on to suffer back-to-back losses to Highlands Park and Stellenbosch.
Similarly to Arrows, Polokwane will look to better last campaign's showing where they were bundled out at the hands of SuperSport on penalties.
