Bakgaga are languishing at the bottom of the DStv Premiership with four wins all season and just six games to try and avoid relegation.
Kgoloko Thobejane's side overcame Stellenbosch 1-0 in the round of 32 before seeing off TS Galaxy 5-3 on penalties in the last 16 after the game had ended 1-1 - but went down 3-0 to Gallants recently in the league.
Dan Malesela's team are, meanwhile, relatively safe in 11th place on the league standings with 12 more points than their cup rivals, and defeated Santos 2-0 and Orlando Pirates 5-4 on penalties to secure their last eight encounter.
The two sides have already met twice in the DStv Premiership this season, with Gallants winning the recent meeting 3-0 while Baroka won the reverse fixture 2-0 on the opening day.
