Sundowns thrashed GladAfrica Championship outfit Richards 4-0 in the round of 32 before romping to a 6-0 win over third tier side Mathaithai.
The DStv Premiership were involved in midweek as well after defeating Swallows FC 4-2 in a thrilling encounter on Wendesday evening.
It will be a daunting task for Larsen's side who enjoyed a similar route to the quarter-finals after defeating Uthongathi and Black Eagles in the previous rounds.
