Bafana Bafana will look to kick off their two-match European tour with a victory when they take on Guinea in an international friendly in Belgium on Friday
Teams: South Africa v Guinea
Date: 25 March 2022
Venue: Guldensporenstadion
Time: 19h00
While the top nations in Africa will play the final stages of World Cup qualifiers this week, Bafana and Guinea have long been eliminated and will gain some confidence.
Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has largely stuck to the squad that did duty in the qualifiers although Al Ahly forward Percy Tau was forced to withdraw because of injury.
South Africa have been hit by further bad news on arrival in Belgium with Bongukuhle Hlongwane and Fagrie Lakay having visa issues and unable to join the squad.
Orlando Pirates' Goodman Mosele is also a doubt for the Guinea match as he is nursing an injury, Broos has confirmed.
Bafana's last meeting with Guinea dates back to 2006 at the Africa Cup of Nations, where the National Elephants walked away with a 2-0 win in the group stages.
