The Buccaneers were denied a third straight league win the last time they were in action after playing to a goalless draw against Baroka.
Pirates are involved in a jam-packed race to finish in the continental places, as they sit fifth on the log, six points behind second-placed Royal AM with a game in hand and can't afford to drop points.
Chippa, on the other hand, had a ten-day rest since ending a three-match winless run with a 1-0 victory over Stellenbosch.
The Chilli Boys are still looking to secure their top-flight status, as they sit just two points above the relegation play-off spot held by TS Galaxy.
The Buccaneers have been imperious against Chippa in recent season, with consecutive league victories since November 2016.
