After losing only for the second time against Maritzburg United before the international break, Sundowns bounced back to winning ways in emphatic fashion after thrashing Swallows 4-2.
The Brazilians carried that form into the Nedbank Cup after hammering third-tier side Summerfield Dynamos 5-0 over the weekend to book a spot in semi-finals.
The Tshwane side have an 11-point lead at the top of the log and will have a chance to go 14 points clear going into the last five matches.
Arrows, meanwhile, have revived their chances of finishing in the top eight with three victories in their last five matches, although they lost their last outing 2-0 to Stellenbosch last time out.
Lehlohonolo Seema's charges sit in ninth spot with the same number of points as eigth-placed SuperSport United and will get into the top eight if they avoid defeat.
Sundowns will be looking to complete a league double over Abafana Bes'thende after securing a 1-0 victory in the reverse fixture.
