Kaizer Chiefs will be desperate to avoid a fourth consecutive defeat in the DStv Premiership when they host Cape Town City in a rescheduled fixture on Saturday afternoon.
Teams: Kaizer Chiefs v Cape Town City
Date: 29 April 2022
Venue: FNB Stadium
Time: 15h00
Chiefs' CAF Champions League hopes continued to take a knock after a third straight loss against Golden Arrows in midweek, in the first of their rescheduled fixtures.
Amakhosi will be playing their second rescheduled game that did not take place in December last year due to the Covid-19 outbreak and cannot afford to drop further points.
Chiefs have dropped down to fifth place on the log, six points behind second-place Royal AM and will be looking to keep their hopes of a runners-up finish alive.
The Soweto giants will be without Happy Mashiane due to flu.
City meanwhile, as one of the contenders for a CAF Champions League spot, will also be looking to close the gap behind Thwihli Thwahla.
Eric Tinkler's charges are unbeaten since the restart of the league this year, as they extended that run to nine matches with a goalless draw against Mamelodi Sundowns in midweek.
The Citizens are placed third on the log, four points behind Royal AM.
The reverse fixture between the sides ended without goals at DHL Stadium in Cape Town earlier in the season.
