Kaizer Chiefs make the trip to the Princess Magogo Stadium to battle Golden Arrows in a rescheduled DStv Premiership encounter on Wednesday afternoon.
Teams: Golden Arrows v Kaizer Chiefs
Date: 26 April 2022
Venue: Princess Magogo Stadium
Time: 15h00
This clash was scheduled to take place in December, but Chiefs were unable to show up after a Covid-19 outbreak at Naturena which also saw the club miss the Cape Town City clash a week earlier.
Chiefs wrote to the Premier Soccer League to postpone the matches but their request was denied, forcing the club to challenged the League's decision, which they won after SAFA arbitrator Nazeer Cassim ruled in favour ruled in their favour.
On the pitch though, it has not been smooth sailing for Chiefs who come into the encounter on the back of two successive league defeats, including Saturday's 1-0 loss to Stellenbosch FC.
The defeat to Stellies has seen Chiefs slip to fourth spot, six points of Royal AM who currently occupy the final CAF Champions League spot.
Chiefs will come up against an Arrows looking to get back into the top eight having failed to win their last four matches.
Ironically, Arrows' last win in the league came against the Soweto giants at the FNB Stadiun last month thanks to Knox Mutizwa's first-half strike.
