AmaZulu will be looking to maintain their winning start under Brandon Truter when they host Maritzburg United in the KwaZulu-Natal derby on Saturday afternoon.
Teams: AmaZulu v Maritzburg United
Date: 16 April 2022
Venue: Moses Mabhida Stadium
Time: 15h00
Truter started his interim reign at Usuthu with a 1-0 win over Baroka ten days ago, which was the first club's first victory in five games.
Luvuyo Memela was the hero for AmaZulu against Bakgaga as they moved up to seventh on the log and will be looking to consolidate their position in the top eight.
Maritzburg, meanwhile, are fighting for their lives in the bottom half of the table, as they went three matches without a win after they came from behind to rescue a 1-1 draw against Swallows in midweek.
Ernst Middendorp's charges sit in 12th on the table with 23 points, four points clear of the relegation zone and will be determined to extend their cushion over the other relegation candidates.
AmaZulu are still searching for their first win over Maritzburg in the league since 2014 after the sides played to a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture.
