AmaZulu will be motivated by new beginnings to end their CAF Champions League campaign on a high when they visit Horoya on Friday evening at Stade General Lansana.
Teams: Horoya v AmaZulu
Date: 01 April 2022
Venue: Stade General Lansana
Usuthu parted ways with head coach Benni McCarthy following a 2-0 defeat to Raja Casablanca before the international break, which ended their hopes of qualifying for the quarter-finals.
The KwaZulu-Natal side have appointed former Swallows coach Brandon Truter on an interim basis until the end of the season.
Truter will not be in charge this evening, with his first match in charge set to take place against Baroka next Wednesday.
Horoya, meanwhile, looked to have revived their campaign after a shock 2-1 win over group leaders Raja Casablanca but they could not follow it up after a 3-2 defeat to ES Setif the last time out.
The Guinean side are bottom of the group with three points and could finish ahead of Usuthu if they win by a margin of more than one goal.
