Absa Premiership
Teams: Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City
Date: 28 September 2019
Venue: Orlando Stadium
Orlando Pirates will be seeking redemption when they host Cape Town City in Absa Premiership on Saturday afternoon at Orlando Stadium.
The Buccaneers are struggling for consistency under caretaker coach Rhulani Mokwena and they will be looking to bounce back after they narrowly lost 4-3 against Bidvest Wits in Durban last Saturday.
The Soweto giants would be concerned by their tenth position on the table, with eight points from six matches, even at this early stages and they will go all out to restore their pride.
Meanwhile, the Citizens are also struggling for form so far this season, having registered only one win after six rounds of action.
Benni McCarthy's charges last played to a 1-1 draw with Golden Arrows last Sunday, extending their winless run to four matches in the league..
City are expected to speed up midfielder Roland Putsche back to the starting team after he recovered from his lengthy knee injury, to compensate timely for the loss of former Bucs midfielder Abbubaker Mobara, who has been ruled out of action for up to two months with an ankle injury he suffered in their last match against Abafana Bes'thende.
The sides have met in seven previous occasions since the Citizens' reformation in 2016 and Pirates would be wary of the Cape side, having won only once against them back in September 2017.
