Teams: Mamelodi Sundowns v AmaZulu
Date: 26 November 2019
Venue: Loftus Versfeld Stadium
Mamelodi Sundowns will be aiming to close the gap on Absa Premiership leaders Kaizer Chiefs when they host AmaZulu at Loftus Versfeld this evening.
Sundowns returned to winning ways over the weekend after defeating Golden Arrows 2-1 in the Telkom Knockout semi-finals on Saturday afternoon.
In the league though, Pitso Mosimane's troops have failed to win their last three encounters, with the last Premiership clash ending in a 3-2 defeat to Steve Komphela's Arrows before the international break.
AmaZulu are also pushing for a return to winning ways after suffering a 2-0 loss to Chippa United two weeks ago, a loss which saw them drop to 15th spot.
Bonginkosi Ntuli, who will be coming up against his former side, will be out to continue his fine form after bagging seven goals in 11 league appearances this season.
Sundowns will have to take the field without talisman Gaston Sirino, who was shown a straight red card in the Telkom Knockout fixture this past weekend, while Tapelo Xoki misses out for Usuthu this evening.
The Absa Premiership champions will also be without Hlompho Kekana, Tebogo Langerman, Themba Zwane and Thapelo Morena.
