Absa Premiership
Teams: Chippa United v Bloemfontein Celtic
Date: 21 September 2019
Venue: Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium
Chippa United begin life without Clinton Larsen with an Absa Premiership clash at home to Bloemfontein Celtic this afternoon.
The Chilli Boys started the season slowly after going five games without victory in all their games so far this season, the last of which was a 2-1 defeat to Orlando Pirates.
The defeat signalled the end for Larsen who left the club on Monday and he has been replaced former Bay United captain Duran Francis on interim basis.
Meanwhile, Siwelele have been getting mixed results so far this season but they have shown glimpses of brilliance, particularly thrashing Golden Arrows 5-0 in mid-August.
However, consistency is their Achilles heel and they will need to build on from their 2-1 win over Stellenbosch FC last Sunday, which sees them occupy ninth spot in the league standings.
Phunya Sele Sele took six points from Chippa last season, after securing a 2-0 win at Dr Molemela Stadium before claiming 1-0 victory in the return fixture.
