New Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso's playing schemes are starting to emerge and Kermit Erasmus has revealed what he noticed as changes.
Sundowns went through a change of playing style at the beginning of the season, under former coach Manqoba Mngqithi, who preferred wing play and attacking with speed.
Mngqithi's tenure as a head coach received criticism especially after a shock defeat to Magesi in the Carling Knockout and what he wanted to implement did not reach its full potential.
In his just two matches in charge, the difference in how Miguel Cardoso wants his team to play has come to the fore.

Erasmus, who is well travelled, having played in the Netherlands, France, Portugal and Sweden, has revealed what he noticed to be the changes at his former club Sundowns, following their narrow 1-0 win over Stellenbosch.
"His defensive structure, how he approaches the game is pretty decent, its not as high pressed as the previous coaches, it's more of an organized structure in moments you going to press, try to maintain the energy of the team more than anything," Erasmus said on SoccerBeat YouTube Channel.

"Especially in possession, with the forward movement of the eights, because I saw [Aubrey] Modiba making a number of runs in the far post, that seems to be the key aspect of (his) game.
"You could see he's playing now with one holding (midfielder) and two free roaming midfielders in Modiba and [Marcelo] Allende, when he was on the field, they were just rotating the whole time, to a point where [Bathusi] Aubaas was driving through the middle with the ball, the chance Modiba hit the crossbar, it was great to see that he has the ability to drive through the middle, almost like a Rodri vibe to it," the former Orlando Pirates striker observed.
Sundowns will be back in Premiership action when they visit AmaZulu on Christmas Eve at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
