It's only been a few weeks, but Sekhukhune United coach Lehlohonolo Seema has seen enough to know that former Kaizer Chiefs defender Njabulo Ngcobo will blossom at the club.
Just a few years ago, before joining Amakhosi, Ngcobo was regarded as one of the best defenders in the country. In the colours of Swallows FC, he won the defender of the season award and had broken into the Bafana Bafana squad.

The move to Naturena was meant to take his career to the next level, but that's not quite what happened. In fact, far from it. Ngcobo struggled to break into the Amakhosi starting line-up on a regular basis under all the coaches, Stuart Baxter, Arthur Zwane, Molefi Ntseki and Cavin Johnson, until the club parted ways with him when his contract expired at the end of June.
Now a player at Sekhukhune, Ngcobo has an opportunity to get back to his best and possibly even knock on the Bafana door again. Seema has been impressed with the player's progress and feels that with the right support, he can blossom at the club.
"I don't even have to look at Chiefs. Just go back to where he comes from in KZN and also when he was at Swallows. He is a good player and sometimes a player just needs an opportunity and the support and they will blossom. We are looking forward to seeing him do well for the club," Seema told the Siya crew.

"He has been good during pre-season. One thing I have seen from him is that he is a leader. At the club, we can do with leaders. I am happy with the way he is working and he will guide the young ones. He is a very humble guy who works hard and you can see the leadership qualities. We are excited to have him with us."
