Kaizer Chiefs are also looking at nurturing homegrown talent as they work to strengthen their forward department for the future.
With certain targets proving to be difficult to sign, the club is set to offer their DDC youngster, Siphesihle "Sihle" Tati, a three-year contract.

Insiders at the club have indicated that Amakhosi have been closely monitoring the 20-year-old, with plans to promote him to the senior team.
"They were looking at signing at least one more attacking midfielder but the team's scouts and the youth technical team have now recommended that Tati be promoted instead as he already understands the club culture and he can easily fit into the team. The only thing I am not sure and I don't know is whether it will be now in the last half of this season or next season," said the Siya source.
"But all the logistics for his promotion has been finalised and just like Naledi Hlongwane, Tati is set for promotion to the senior team. And it's because of this that the club is offering him a three-year deal. They are convinced that he he has what it takes to be part of the team and help it in some way hence the three-year contract is worth it," the source added.

A second insider mentioned that Tati's promotion could provide cover for Mduduzi Shabalala or Gaston Sirino, as he shares a similar playing style.
"The other reason why they want to promote him is that when Mdu or Sirino are not available the team then doesn't have a playmaker of that kind. You know Tati plays the way the legend Thabo Mooki used to play and also he is very close in his playing style like Mdu Shabalala so that will help the team a lot if one is out injured or suspended," the second source told the Siya crew.
