With the season now over, the Siya crew has been informed that the future of Njabulo Ngcobo will be properly discussed at Naturena, with an exit not being ruled out.
Ngcobo, who turned 29 last Saturday (27 May), has just come off another difficult campaign with Kaizer Chiefs, struggling to break into the team under head
coach Arthur Zwane. Now he has one more year to go on his deal with the club and a decision will be taken on what happens next, with a few possibilities on the cards for the former Swallows FC and Uthongathi man.
A loan move has not been ruled out for the centre-back, as well as the possibility of being transfer-listed, to allow clubs interested in his services to make an offer.
The Glamour Boys are expected to welcome Thatayaone Ditlhokwe and Given Msimango ahead of the new season, which gives the former PSL Defender of the Season a slim chance of playing regularly next term. Msimango was a nominee for the DStv Premiership Defender of the Season award after an impressive campaign with TS Galaxy, while Ditlhokwe had a strong finish to his time at SuperSport United.
During the past season, Ngcobo made 14 appearances in all competitions, 11 of which were in the league. He might be worried that he will play less with more competition coming into the team.
In Chiefs' last four league matches, he played 90 minutes on three occasions, which was much-needed game-time to prove himself once more before the end of the campaign.
