Kaizer Chiefs' young forward, Mduduzi Shabalala, has made a significant impact this season, scoring four goals in the Betway Premiership.
Speaking to journalists at the Soweto Derby press conference at the Soweto Theatre on Thursday, Shabalala highlighted the importance of confidence in achieving more with the team this season.

The 21-year-old addressed the league standings, emphasizing that they don't accurately reflect the team's efforts and potential.
"The log is not a true reflection of what we have been doing. So far, so good. It's just that we didn't take our chances in some of the games. If we can play those games again and compose ourselves then I think we could be somewhere in the top three. We just have to keep on getting better in each and every game," Shabalala obsessed.
He added that his game has improved due to ignoring negative comments and boosting his confidence compared to last season.
"I think it's the confidence. The confidence I have now and the confidence I had before is not the same. My confidence is high and it has played a big role. It changed me not to listen to what people are saying about me and just do what you are supposed to be doing. And for me, this season is about closing the ears and to concentrate on what I am supposed to be doing," Shabalala concluded.
The highly anticipated Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates takes place on Saturday at the FNB Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 15:30 in what promises to be a sold-out event.
