Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lebogang Manyama explains why he does not want to take his knee injury controversy any further.
Manyama recently announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 32 after he got medical advice that his knee injury would not heal perfectly. He is unable to prove what caused his injury to react the way it has.

"In all the stages of rehab, all the pain that I had on my right knee just couldn't get right. Even when coach Stuart Baxter was there (in his second spell), he'll tell you I tried so much to get back but it was just getting worse," Manyama told Radio 2000's Game On.
"I did the second op (operation), and the third op, no sign of this ACL (a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the knee), how it happened I don't know. I can't really point it out, it's a difficult one. I let it go, that's what it was," he said.
Manyama was asked what he would do about this past complication with Chiefs and their doctor.
"It's quite tricky, I've had three surgeries with three different doctors, so you can't point out as to who did the most damage," he went on.
"For me to be quite honest I don't have the time nor the energy to go through a whole court case that would need three years of information and stuff.
"And it will obviously involve the biggest team that I've played for, Kaizer Chiefs would get drawn in and for me I don't think I want that with great memories I had there outweighs all the negatives that happened, including my career ending," he said.
Manyama continued and revealed that he knows the right channels to get insurance to pay him out and has already spoken to Amakhosi football manager Bobby Motaung about it.

"If it cost my career and it was done on purpose, there's somebody's hand in it, it's okay. It's all well with my heart, I took that decision with my family.
"I've already spent my money on this knee for the past three or four surgeries without a club and now to take my son's money and go to a court case, just because I wanna point out who ruined my career..." he added.
