With Kaizer Chiefs yet to find a solid number one goalkeeper since Itumeleng Khune, former shot-stopper Brilliant Khuzwayo has explained why.
Chiefs struggles on the pitch over the years, have been characterized by goalkeeping errors in the last few years.
The likes of Brandon Petersen and Bruce Bvuma are yet to solidify the number one position since Khune was sidelined at Amakhosi.
Hence, the Glamour Boys felt the need to go to the market and signed Fiacre Ntwari from TS Galaxy.

However, Ntwari could also not live up to expectations in his first seven matches, unable to keep a clean sheet.
Khuzwayo, who was at Chiefs for six years between 2012 and 2018, has suggested the reason for goalkeeper struggles at the Soweto giants is lack of competition and pressure among the current crop.
"At Chiefs there was Itu (Khune) and then me. He knew that if he messes up, I'm behind him, I'm pushing him! Every good goalkeeper needs a good goalkeeper to compete with him. Chiefs supporters have been lenient in putting pressure on the goalkeepers," Khuzwayo said on SoccerBeat YouTube Channel.

"If you remember, there was a goalkeeper called (Kabelo) Metsimetsi, he conceded four goals, it was game over for him in terms of Chiefs. But (now) keepers (at Amakhosi) are given a chance, a chance and a chance and they are not performing as other previous goalkeepers at Chiefs."
The former Bafana Bafana shot-stopper also suggested that Chiefs should consider signing Ricardo Goss, who has lost his number one spot to Thakasani Mbanjwa at SuperSport United.
"I'd give (Bruce) Bvuma a chance but if you look at Sundowns, there's Ronwen (Williams) doing great, Africa's number one, Pirates, (Sipho) Chaine, doing great, what about Chiefs goalkeepers? SuperSport have (Ricardo) Goss, a good goalkeeper, I'd take him and put him at Chiefs," the former Pirates goalkeeper added.
