Kaizer Chiefs are closing-in on offering one of their players, whose contract is set to expire in June 2023, a new deal.
Soccer Laduma previously reported that young goalkeeper Bontle Molefe's representatives had reservations about their client's lack of progress in the senior team and were weighing up their options, as the 20-year old can leave on a free at the end of the season.

Molefe had a trial at Belgian side Royal Antwerp in April last year and although Amakhosi did not give any feedback upon his return, the Siya crew understands that the junior international goalkeeper already has suitors abroad but they too would want him to play regularly before they can present anything concrete.
Chiefs rate the 20-year old highly and as reported in edition 1311 of the publication, available at your nearest outlet, the Soweto giants have tabled an offer for their academy graduate and are expected to finalize it before the end of the season, if all parties are happy with the terms.
As things stand, Molefe is the fourth choice goalkeeper at the Glamour Boys and is yet to make his senior debut despite already being promoted four seasons ago by former coach Ernst Middendorp.
The 20-year old's camp previously wanted a clear pathway from Chiefs, on how they plan to increase his game-time chances and it remains to be seen if they would be convinced to sign a new deal, especially after reports emerged that the Glamour Boys are keeping a close eye on Richards Bay goalkeeper Salim Magoola.
Magoola has played in all the Natal Rich Boyz's league matches this season and has kept an incredible 11 clean-sheets in 19 games before their encounter against Sekhukhune United.
With veteran goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune's contract also set to expire in four months' time, Amakhosi could be exploring their options, with Magoola one of their targets, should they not renew Khune's contract.
