Amakhosi also lost a disappointing 12 times in the league to sum up their unsatisfactory season under Arthur Zwane.
On his list of targets he has identified for Chiefs, Khanye has included some players currently contracted to defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
"Kaizer Chiefs should attempt to sign some of the best players in order to restore their pride. For example, I don't see why Chiefs shouldn't try and negotiate with Sundowns for a player like Mosa Lebusa. Yes, he is contracted to Sundowns but he isn't being utilised enough and I don't see why attempts cannot be made to sign him along with Ricardo Goss," said Khanye.

"Andile Jali is a player that Chiefs should have prioritised signing when he became a free agent, as well as Thulani Serero. Haashim Domingo is a player that Chiefs should have signed along with Lesedi Kapinga. Khanyisa Mayo should have been signed by Chiefs along with his teammate at Cape Town City in Thato Mokeke. There is Rowan Human at Maritzburg United and I don't understand why he can't be signed by Chiefs. I'm very disappointed in our team and how things are being done because it seems whatever happened this past season is going to happen again in the new season as far as the results are concerned," he concluded.
