SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt has shared his thoughts on the imminent move of striker Tashreeq Morris to Kaizer Chiefs, expressing confidence that the 31-year-old forward will flourish at the Soweto giants if given the opportunity.
Morris, who enjoyed a short stay at SuperSport United, is expected to complete a transfer to Chiefs in the coming days. While Chiefs' assistant coach, Khalil Ben Youseff, has played down speculation surrounding the move, Hunt has confirmed that the striker has secured the high-profile switch, which he believes will be a life-changing opportunity for Morris.
"Yeah, I was obviously sad to see Morris go, but I mean, he's gone to a great club," said Hunt at the Nedbank Cup media briefing.

"It's a great opportunity for him and his life. It's a life-changing experience for him. It's a great experience and he's gonna go there where they are certainly gonna need him, and I'm sure he'll do a good job for them."
Hunt, a highly respected figure in South African football, has worked closely with Morris at SuperSport, and he's confident the striker's attributes will make him a valuable asset at Chiefs.
"Morris is a great player with a good work ethic, and I have no doubt he'll make an impact at Chiefs if given the chance," added Hunt.
The move to Chiefs presents a new chapter for Morris, who has been a consistent performer in the Betway Premiership. Known for his physicality, work rate, and ability to find the back of the net, Morris will be hoping to find his scoring boots in the famous gold and black of Kaizer Chiefs.
The Chiefs faithful will be eager to see if Morris can deliver the goods and strengthen their attacking options as the club looks to challenge for silverware in the 2024/25 season. If Hunt's words are anything to go by, the striker's arrival at Naturena could be just the boost the team needs.
