Despite a deafening silence on Kaizer Chiefs utility player Njabulo Blom's contractual situation, there is a new twist in the saga, Soccer Laduma exclusively revealed in the latest edition of the publication.
There has been no official word from Chiefs on the status of their contractual negotiations with Blom, whose representative Rob Moore confirmed that the two parties are deadlocked in talks over a new deal.

Soccer Laduma reported in edition 1297, available at your nearest outlet, that Blom has been offered to SuperSport United, with unofficial talks unfolding, the Siya crew has been led to believe.
The 22-year old is on the final year of his contract at Chiefs and will be eligible to sign a pre-contract with a club of his choice in two months' time.
Blom's representative Rob Moore, has made it clear that the financial package Chiefs are proposing to his client to sign a new contract is below their expectations and the Siya crew has been reliably informed that the disgruntled party are exploring their options.
What could keep SuperSport engaged in the possibility of bringing Blom on board is the Gavin Hunt factor, who is an admirer of 'Stoppa', as the utility player is known, after his spell at the Naturena-based side between September 2020 and May 2021.

Hunt led Chiefs to the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League before he was relieved of his duties and after they booked their spot in the quarter-finals following a 2-2 draw at Horoya, the multiple-league winning coach was full of praise of Blom's work rate in midfield.
"He was outstanding, he's getting better and better in every game. He'll be one of the future, he's got legs, he can play, he digs in, unbelievable," Hunt said.
Moreover, this could be an opportunity for Matsatsantsa to bolster their midfield with a quality player after the departure of Teboho Mokoena and Sipho Mbule to Mamelodi Sundowns.
SuperSport have looked thin in midfield, although the signing of Grant Margeman from Sundowns on a two-year loan deal and the acquisition of Siphesihle Ndlovu, who joined from Orlando Pirates, has helped them fill the gaping holes in midfield.
After acquiring Ndlovu, Hunt said that what attracted the club to sign the former Pirates utility player is that he is "versatile" and can play various positions and Blom has similar attributes.
However, the Siya crew understands that Chiefs will not take this issue lying down and will do everything in their power not to lose their academy graduate.
