Newly signed Kaizer Chiefs winger Glody Makabi Lilepo, who had a stint with Eswatini Premier League side Mbabane Swallows during the 2020/21 season, is being hailed as the right signing for Amakhosi by a former teammate.
Ex SuperSport United winger Tony Tsabedze, who captained Mbabane Swallows during Lilepo's time there, believes that even at the age of 23, Lilepo showed signs of a promising football career.

Speaking to Soccer Laduma from Mbabane, the former Sihlangu Semnikati captain highlighted Lilepo's strengths, particularly his speed and ability to challenge opposition defenders."Lilepo is right for Chiefs. Chiefs have signed a player who will fit into their system. I saw him playing. I played with him in 2020-21 and I knew he is a player who can go places. Yes, he didn't play more regularly due to injuries when he was with us but you could see the potential every time he played. And when he went back to AS Vita and started playing in the Champions League you could see that he is a great player and no wonder he ended up in France (with Valenciennes FC). I know and I believe he will do the job for Chiefs. They really needed a player like him with the way things are at Chiefs right now," Tsabedze told Soccer Laduma.
Commenting on Lilepo's character, Tsabedze described him as a "great person", down-to-earth, and coachable, keenly attentive to instructions from trainers.

"That time with us, the only problem was communication because he was not yet used to English. But I hope now that he has traveled a lot he speaks more English, but also he has French speaking coaches at Chiefs which is good for him. But as a person, he is good to work with and play with. He is very good at listening to instructions whether from the coaches or even fellow players. He is an outgoing person easy to mix with his teammates. Chiefs will benefit from him. You know he has speed! He can take on defenders and he can score goals. You need a player like him in your team and Chiefs got him. They are lucky to have him," Tsabedze concluded.
The 27-year-old was officially announced as a Chiefs player on Monday, alongside Thabo Cele and Tashreeq Morris.
