The music that amps up Zwane
South Africa climbed to second place in their Group E table after a handsome 4-0 win over Namibia, who slide down to third place ahead of Bafana's next opponents, Tunisia.
Zwane contributed two amazing goals against Namibia, walking away with the Man of the Match award. Sundowns youngster Thapelo Maseko and ex-Downs attacker Percy Tau scoring Bafana's first and last goals in the game.
It's well known that 'Shikabala' is a huge fan of South African rapper Sjava and before jetting off to the Ivory Coast for AFCON, he sat down for an interview with DJ Naves and his ex-teammate Tiyani Mabunda on the Pitchside Podcast.

Mshishi touched on his love for the veteran rapper's music and along with the hosts, sang the chorus of Sjava's "Impilo" song. "Sjava outdid himself with that song, he is a great artist," said Mshishi.
"I listen to Sjava all the time," said the Sundowns skipper, who still rates Sjava as his favourite artist. In 2019, a video went viral of Zwane singing "Impilo" on the Masandawana team bus, with his singing voice leaving a lot to be desired:

With Sjava's tunes being played heavily by Zwane, it comes as no surprise that he listens to the rapper before games for some extra inspiration when takes to the pitch.
Along with "Impilo," another Sjava song that Zwane is a big fan of is "Ugogo." A hit song from the isiZulu-medium rapper that resonates deeply with the mercurial Mshishi:
"There's this other song from him 'Gogo,' he is actually talking about us who were raised by our grannies," said Mshishi on Sundowns' Pitchside Podcast.

Is Sjava's music the driving force behind Mshishi's Man of the Match performances from Bafana and Sundowns?
