3 of the most beautiful stadiums to be used at AFCON 2024
AFCON 2024 will take place in six incredible stadiums. According to CAFOnline, they include; Olympique Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium, Stade de la Paix, Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium, Laurent Pokou Stadium and the Charles Konan Banny Stadium.
We'll be highlighting three of these spectacular venues that perfectly represent the brightness of the Ivorian nation; the Alassane Ouattara, Felix Houphouet Boigny and the Stade de la Paix in the city of Bouake.
3. Stade de la Paix
The Stade de la Paix, also known as the Peace Stadium, is regarded as one of the most iconic grounds in the Ivory Coast and is situated in the proud football nation's second largest city, Bouake.
This stadium was one of the host venues back in 1984, which was the last time the Ivorians hosted this continental showpiece.
Since '84, the stadium has since received some renovations to keep up with the modern demands of an international football venue, going from a 15 000 to a 40 000 capacity-seater.
As mentioned by CAFOnline, upgrades to this lovely stadium include a fully-equipped Media Centre, Auditorium, Conference Facilities as well as an upgraded spectator parking facility to accommodate the fans.
With seats that match the colours of the mighty Elephants, it's without a doubt one of the most eye-catching arenas in West Africa.

2. Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny
Like the Peace Stadium, the Felix Houphouet-Boigny ground is also patriotic in its aesthetic, displaying orange and green seats that go with the colours of the Ivorian national team.
Built in 1952 and renovated between the years 2021-2023, this arena is one of the country's heritage venues and will play host to the AFCON for the second time, having been one of the two host venues back in '84.
The ground is named after Ivory Coast's first Head of State, President Felix Houphouet-Boigny, and has been doubled in capacity to become a 33 000-seater for this year's AFCON.

1. Olympique Alassane Ouattara D'Ebimpé
Our number one is the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, also known as the Olympic Stadium Epimbe. Located in the Abidjan economic hub, the Olympic Stadium of Epimbe will host the opening and closing ceremonies of the tournament.
The 60 000-seater capacity venue broke ground back in 2016, and will likely bring a number of economic opportunities after the final whistle is sounded on 11 February, as per CAF's website.
The top class venue was officially inaugurated in 2020, in a ceremony attended by senior Government officials before an exhibition match between two of the nation's football giants, ASEC Mimosas and Africa Sports Abidjan.
This Olympic Stadium is also multi-purpose venue that features several world-class amenities such as an athletics track, conference facilities, gyms, auditorium and a VIP section.
