The story
Veteran South African football coach, Steve Komphela is a popular personality on and off the field, so much so that he left some traffic cops starstruck in his glamourous speed racer.
It appears as if the former Kaizer Chiefs, Moroka Swallows and Golden Arrows head coach was stopped by Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) officers, not for speeding but simply chat about football.
Komphela was stopped while driving a black Lamborghini Spyder Auto Gallardo, a ride valued in the ball park of R2.9 million to R3.5 million according to Auto Trader.
In a video that's circulating on Twitter/X and Instagram shows a JMPD officer asking Komphela for a word of motivation and his thoughts ahead of Sundowns' blockbuster clash against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.
"Motivation is inside. The fire is inside. If you don't take the fire from inside, it will never come to you because somebody else's fire might be too hot for you. So, you must generate your own fire, motivation comes from within," Komphela advices the officers.

The coach Komphela returned to Chloorkop after parting ways with Golden Arrows, to work under Manqoba Mngqithi. He recognises the challenge ahead with teams such as Orlando Pirates, Stellenbosch FC and Kaizer Chiefs already showing signs of being league title contenders.
"Teams have levelled up and so we have to the bar even higher. We have to keep working, because if you look at Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, we cannot slip up. We have to work extremely hard."
Komphela also looked ahead to his team's encounter on Saturday at the FNB Stadium: "We're going to FNB, it's a beautiful field and we enjoy beautiful things. Where we're at, everybody stands a chance to become champion, there's enough points out there anybody to become a champion," he added.
Watch below, with Komphela revving his black Lamborghini Gallardo to entertain the officers:
