South African rugby star Trevor Nyakane showcased some impressive football skills during the Springboks' training session on Tuesday.
Football and rugby may be linked in terms of the latter's foundation, but it's always surprising to see a rugby player showing some natural football ability.

Springbok star shows footy skills
As the Springboks prepare to face Ireland in the Rugby World Cup on Saturday evening in France, Trevor Nyakane showcased some dazzling football skills.
The prop was practicing his dribbling on his fellow forwards, Steven Kitshoff and Jean Kleyn, attempting "iSikela" on the latter before trying out a more complicated trick on Kleyn.

Rugby players aren't strangers to having a ball at their feet, they do sometimes play football as a training-ground exercise, as they showed during their training camp ahead of the global Rugby showpiece in France.
Nyakane's skills gives us an idea that he has an appreciation for Kasi Flava and SuperSport's Twitter/X page teasingly asking when the burly rugby star will earn a call-up to Hugo Broos' Bafana Bafana squad:

It's not the first time we've seen a Springbok showing a little football flavour during this World Cup.
Mercurial flyhalf Manie Libbok pulled off a no-look cross-kick pass, which left football fans both shocked and impressed by the improvisation that's normally displaced in a football game.
