The story
Kaizer Chiefs academy product, Omega Mdaka made his professional debut for Stellenbosch FC in their CAF Confederation Cup First Preliminary Round win over Nsingizini Hotspurs in Durban on Saturday.
After securing a 3-0 victory over their Eswatini opponents in the first leg last weekend, Stellies extended their dominance with a resounding 5-0 win in the return match at Moses Mabhida Stadium, resulting in an 8-0 aggregate triumph.
On Saturday, Stellies led 2-0 at halftime with goals from Lehlogonolo Mojela and Langelihle Phili. In the second half, they furthered their advantage curtesy of strikes from Andre de Jong, Omega Mdaka, and Mervin Boji.
Omega Mdaka, who came on as a substitute in place of Fawaaz Basadien, scored the fourth goal of the tie when drilled a powerful shot into the bottom corner.
To commemorate his first professional goal, Mdaka headed over to the stands to celebrate with his older brother.
