The story
Like many other PSL footballers, Neo Maema is already thinking about the reality of life away from the beautiful game and is putting his foot on the pedal when it comes to his fashion business.
As the co-owner of Lo Phanda, Maema and his partner, known as Sive JB DaGreat on Instagram, aim to blending "high-fashion sophistication with a bold, entrepreneurial spirit, the brand targets individuals who are constantly striving for success while maintaining a sharp sense of style," reads the brand's website.
Lo Phanda showcased their new limited edition "Professional Collection" which attempts to fuse "classic tailoring with contemporary streetwear influences."
Maema modelled the collection alongside teammates Bathusi Aubaas, Lebohang Maboe and roped in Sundowns Ladies baller and musician, Lehlogonolo Mashigo as well as her partner Hope Ramafalo.
The collection features a range of cosy garments such as tracksuits, sweats and two-piece sets, catered to both men and women.
In terms of pricing, some of the clothes don't come cheap with a pair of joggers priced at R1 700, while the logo t-shirt is valued at a reasonable R650.
