Let's take a closer look at how Shabba attracts brands...

A brand favourite: Siphiwe Tshabalala

Similar to legends like Lucas Radebe and Teko Modise, Siphiwe Tshabalala's brand is still well sought after despite his best footballing years being well behind him.

The 39-year-old is still club-less after parting ways with AmaZulu in 2021 and has been taking part in exhibition matches with other Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs legends.

Even though his career is as good as finished, the Shabba brand that took off in 2010 after his wonder strike in the FIFA World Cup against Mexico at the FNB Stadium, is alive more than ever!

He recently shared a video of him using Knorr products provided to him by Whatsfordinner? for his braai, adding the long list of prominent brands that want to align themselves with the Bafana Bafana legend.

Shabba maintains a strong partnership with Betway and Future Life, with baller also doing work for Nedbank, Nissan, Lifebuoy South Africa, Milo, Hyundai, and Studio88, who worked with him for his Kasi Tournament in Soweto.

The dreadlocked star's undying presence on social media, his unforgettable World Cup goal in 2010 and of course, his long and illustrious career with Kaizer Chiefs appear to be the main reasons why brands are so eager to work with him.

Shabba's success off the field will undoubtedly pave the way for current SA ballers to find a way to make money after retirement and will entice them to build their brands while they're still playing.
