The story
Mamelodi Sundowns officially announced Iqraam Rayners as their newest signing on Wednesday, with the 28-year-old joining the Tshwane giants on a three-year-deal.
Rayners makes a return to Gauteng following a standout season and a half with Stellies, where he scored 32 goals in his second stint at the club.
The Bafana Bafana striker sat down for his first interview on the Pitchside Podcast with host and Downs legend, Hlompho Kekana.
Rayners' chat with the former Masandawana skipper premieres this Friday on the Mamelodi Sundowns YouTube channel and in a preview shared on the club's social media pages, the diminutive baller revealed who brings the laughs to training.
"It's always good to come to training in the morning, there's a lot of guys that always make you happy. There's lots of funny guys in the team, always making jokes. Grant Kekana, Teboho Mokoena, [Denis] Onyango, they always have things to say," shared Rayners.

The funny guys in the Downs change room, Mokoena and Kekana, were the ones who gave Rayners a positive welcome to the Brazilians.
In a clip shared widely on social media, Mokoena and Kekana were seen joking with Rayners on their way to the training pitch, with the video being the first time fans got a look at Rayners in Sundowns colours.
