adidas Icon range featuring Orlando Pirates
Orlando Pirates debuted their adidas Icon drip at Saturday's Soweto Derby at the FNB Stadium and the German sportswear brand has launched the rest of the range which includes designs from their extensive football family.
The Icon collection draws inspiration from one of the golden era's of football jersey design's, the 1990s, using a design template from the Equipment era according to Soccer Bible.
adidas' throwback replica designs features match jerseys, tops and shorts for Orlando Pirates and some of its other leading clubs and federations including the Italy National Team, Ajax, Arsenal, Boca Juniors, CR Flamengo, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Celtic and River Plate.
From the subliminal lines to the bold, multi-coloured three stripes on the jersey and reimagined goalkeeper tops, this Icon collection instantly feeds to the growing football jersey streetwear trend.
