Antony Akumu and Jesse Were bagged the goals in a 2-1 win at FNB Stadium on Saturday as ZESCO dumped Chiefs out of the competition with a 5-2 aggregate victory, and their assistant said that everything went to plan for them as per their preparations. Speaking to SuperSport after the game, Lupiya said, "We're very excited about this win, it was not easy… Let me just remind you - we're from the Champions League, and this is the Confederation Cup. We've got that experience, that really helped us. We've been playing Champions League, and we had to do what we've been doing in the Champions League. "Our game plan was to close them first and catch them on the counter. Fast break. That paid dividends for us." ZESCO have now been drawn against Nkana FC, Asante Kotoko and Al Hilal in the group stages of the competition as they look to try and take one step closer to the final.
