
Kaizer Chiefs Return To CAF Action This Year

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that they will leave Johannesburg for their CAF Confederation Cup clash against Zanzibar's Zimamoto FC. Later this week Chiefs take on Orlando Pirates for a spot in the Telkom Knockout final, but after that will be turning their attention to continental victory against the runners-up from the 2018 Zanzibar Premier League. A statement from the club regarding the details of the clash read, "Kaizer Chiefs, will in the CAF Confederation Cup, host Zanzibar's Zimamoto in Port Elizabeth at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. "The much-awaited preliminary stage first leg encounter is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, November 28. Kick-off is at 19:30." Chiefs will then travel to Zanzibar a week later for the second leg of the encounter, with either ASSM Elgeco Plus or Deportivo Unidad waiting for them in the next round if they get a win.
