Ernst Middendorp is delighted to see Kaizer Chiefs progress in the CAF Confederation Cup, and had his say on his team's performance on their recent trip to Madagascar. Read: Musona To Chiefs? The Glamour Boys put in a good performance on Saturday as they won 3-0 over Elgeco Plus to secure a 6-0 aggregate victory in the CCC, securing their place in the playoff round of the competition next year. Having touched down back in South Africa on Sunday afternoon, the club now await the draw on December 28 to see which CAF Champions League dropout they will be pitted against for a spot in the group stages of the competition. "It was not an easy game… It was basically the same as in the first leg. We had to strategise and manage the game. We are happy with the result. "It was a great team effort, we showed the ability to change things around in the second half and I am happy about the achievement of progressing to the next round. "We just have to soak this up now and then have some rest. We will take this win as a motivation in our preparation for the next game, which is at home against Mamelodi Sundowns on January 5."
