Khama Billiat netted a hat-trick while Kabelo Mahlasela also got on the scoresheet as Chiefs thumped Tanzania's Zimamoto 4-0 on Wednesday evening.
However, the Italian feels he does not need to change his approach for the second leg next week.
"In my opinion, Kaizer Chiefs needs to play in the same manner. Play to win. Try to create a lot of chances. Try to play beautiful football, attacking football because we are Kaizer Chiefs," Solinas told SuperSport after the game.
"So we will not change our philosophy. At home or away, we always try to play to win and dominate the game."
Solinas also provided an opinion on the performance of Mahlasela, who got his first goal for the club.
"Mahlasela is an offensive player. Very fast. In my opinion, he needs to understand the manner to exploit the speed because he is very fast.
"He needs to create a football style for himself. So we start with the job with him to play in the position as a winger," concluded Solinas.
Chiefs now turn their attention to the Absa Premiership match which takes place on Saturday evening against Golden Arrows.
